Equipment

  • 6 quart instant pot
  • A trivet or stainless stand
  • A pair of tongs to hold a whole chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 3 pound 1 whole Chicken
  • Homemade spice mix as per need
  • Water 1 and ½ cup

For Stuffing Whole Chicken

  • Onions 2 cut into 2 slices
  • Celery
  • Lemon slices halved 2
  • Crush garlic 2
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Pat dry whole chicken with a kitchen towel. Rub the spice mix onto the whole Chicken on both sides. Stuff chicken cavity with onions, celery, lemons, and crush garlic. Tie chicken legs with a string and tuck in the wings.
  • Place trivet in the instant pot. Pour 1and 1/2 cup water into a 6-quart instant pot. Add 2 cups water if you are using 8-quart an instant pot. You can also use chicken stock.
     Place whole Chicken with breast side up. Close the lid
  • Set the valve to sealing. Press manual and set cooking time according to the size of your whole Chicken.

Notes

  • Let NPR for 15 minutes.
  • Rest the meat for 10 minutes on the cutting board. It helps to redistribute chicken juices, and you get a juicy, moist, and tender chicken.
