Homemade Texas Roadhouse Steak

Equipment

  • Special Knife for steak
  • A tong
  • Digital thermometer
  • Wooden cutting board

Materials

  • Sirloin or ribeye steak 2pieces of 11 ounces each
  • Special steak rub as per need

Instructions

  • Pat dry steak with a kitchen towel or cotton cloth before cooking
  • Preheat the grill pan. It must be hot when you put steaks into it
  • Spray your grill pan with avocado oil.
  • Place steak and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side
  • Flip with a tong after 3 minutes
  • Rotate 45c and cook for more than 3 minutes
  • Turn again to complete the grill mark on the meat and cook for more than 2 minutes.
  • Check doneness with a digital thermometer. It must be medium rare with an internal temperature of 140degrees.
  • Discard from the grill and cover with aluminum foil for 15-20 minutes.

Notes

  • You can also add shredded cheddar or parmesan cheese, becan to make Texas roadhouse steak more flavorful.
  • Your Steak should be at room temperature before cooking.
  • It ensures even heat throughout the steak during cooking. You get a tender and well-cooked steak.
