Equipment

Materials

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 minced garlic clove or ¼teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 3 tbsp. vinegar or white wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. chili sauce or pepper sauce
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard

Instructions

  • Mix ketchup or chili garlic sauce, water, minced garlic, lemon juice, vinegar, soy sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar, mustard in a saucepan

boil for 5 minutes on medium heat

  • simmer for another 5 minutes

Cook until sauce thickens and reduces to half the amount

  • Cool and then refrigerate if you do not want to use it immediately

Notes

  • Horseradish is a blended mixture of horseradish with some vinegar, salt, and water. It is used in a variety of sauces and meat dishes.
  • You can store this sauce for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
