Smart Way to Re-use Leftover Egg & Seasoned Flour
- Wash the potatoes, pat dry with a kitchen towel.
- Cut potatoes into 1/2-inch-thick wedges with the peels on.
- One potato makes 8 wedges. (If you want to remove peels, you can, but this potato wedge sounds perfect with peels on)
- The wedges must be of uniform size for evenly cooking.
- Place wedges in cold water and salt for 20 minutes.
- Drain water and tap dry the wedges with the kitchen towel.
- Drudge wedges with remaining seasoned flour.
- Drip off the excess flour, then dip into milk and egg mixture.
- Take out wedges with the help of a pair of the tong.
- Then again, drudge into flour.
- Repeat the method for the remaining wedges and place them on a clean and dry plate.
FRYING; Heat oil and fry until golden and crispy. You do not need to double fry. These turn out crisp from outside and tender from inside even after the first fry.
Pour gravy on top of delicious panko chicken fried steak and serve with mouth licking KFC potato wedges. Enjoy!
NOTE
If you are allergic to eggs, then make a batter of seasoned flour with enough milk. Dip wedges into this batter and fry as usual.
