A Unique Tip to Make Chicken Juicy and Tender
Take 3-pound whole chicken. Wash well, remove giblets. Place chicken in a wide-sized bowl, add 3 ½ tablespoons of salt, and pour enough water s that chicken is completely dipped into the water.
Leave the chicken in this mixture for 3 hours. Then take out, pat dry with a kitchen towel. Then it’s ready for the season with spices and herbs.
Why This Step?
This step makes chicken incredibly juicy, tender, and tasty. You can do this step before roasting, frying, or baking whole chicken. It would never get dry or soggy after cooking. Even beginners can make a perfect rotisserie chicken if they go through this super easy and useful tip.
Homemade Costco Dry Rub Seasoning
You can make an amazing dry rub seasoning and do not need to buy a store one. The dry rub is a blend of easily available and affordable spices like paprika powder, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, homemade lemon pepper seasoning, and some aromatic herbs like fresh thyme, sage, rosemary, or tarragon. You can omit salt because the chicken has rested in the brine mixture ahead.
How to Make Homemade Lemon Pepper Seasoning
I strongly recommend using Lemon pepper seasoning because whenever you roast or marinate chicken or beef, you need some citrus flavor like vinegar or lemon to make it juicy, flavorful, and tender. It makes flavorsome chicken or beef. But in this recipe, we need a dry rub. We cannot add lemon juice or vinegar because it would make the dry rub moist and not stick to the meat surface. So, use lemon pepper seasoning for the best results.
Take 2 tablespoons of dried lemon peel. You can buy from any grocery store. And add 2 tablespoons of crush black pepper. Blend, and here you go! Your magical lemon pepper spice mix ready. Preserve in an airtight jar. Use whenever need.
